This position is primarily responsible for leading the effort to create a compelling and attractive vision for prospective student, enhancing the admissions process and assuring a rewarding, meaningful and successful admission experience; supporting leadership in delivering comprehensive programs and services to potential students; providing leadership in the planning, development and implementation of the university enrollment plan; successfully attracting, recruiting and enrolling a qualified student body that supports the strategic vision of the institution. The Director must be a creative thinker and utilize best practices and resources to engage students and continually build, lead, and assess recruitment outreach and communications by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations of the SCU Office of Admissions including direction related to prospective student requirements, team dynamics, training, staff schedules, outreach and admissions events
Experience with Online programs
Track and analyzes key enrollment data to guide strategy
Manage workflows for the admissions advisors on a daily basis by monitoring key performance indicators
Provide advice to leadership on mattes related to the development and implementation of Admissions policy, strategies, budget, and personnel
Guides the admissions review process by following admissions requirements outlined in the catalog. Coordinates committee, defining and revising review process operations, and ensuring that support and data entry are accurate and complete
Contributes to the development and delivery of admissions-related communication plans and training programs
Promotes a yearly recruitment/enrollment plan that will achieve university enrollment goals
Oversees, makes recommendations for, and approves all new student scholarships from, authorized funds
Performs other duties as assigned

Must be punctual and timely in meeting all requirements of performance, including, but not limited to, attendance standards and work deadlines; beginning and ending assignments on time; and scheduled work breaks, where applicable.

Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervises 6-8 employees in the admissions department. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies, procedures and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employee; planning, assigning, and directing
work; appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving issues.
Education And/Or Experience
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; 3-5 years of related experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of: Spreadsheet Software (Excel); Word Processing Software (Word); Electronic Mail Software (Outlook); Enrollment Management Software; Customer Relationship Manager Software; and Jenzabar.
Other Skills, Abilities, And Qualifications
Knowledge of marketing and recruiting concepts and sales and customer service experience a plus.
Ability to travel to remote locations and to load and transport admissions materials, displays and other equipment. Some evening and weekend hours are required, especially during the travel season.
Ability to represent the admissions profession positively through a strong, student-centered ethics.
