Director of Admissions

Berkshire Nursing and Rehabilitation Center is committed to improving our patients' quality of life & autonomy through innovative rehabilitative services, and an exceptional level of client-centered care and attention. The facility holds 175 beds. We are looking to hire a Director of Admissions to join our team of skilled health care professionals at our skilled nursing facility in West Babylon!

Responsibilities:

• Create Daily Census
• Confirm admission date
• Get referrals approved by DON respond as promptly as possible
• Develop relations w/ hospitals' social workers & case managers
• Keep a daily census of patients who are registered at the facility. This concise record of the physical whereabouts of each patient must be accurate. The information will include the patient, paying status, room number.
• Confirm admission date
• Generate and follow up with referrals on a daily basis
• Establishing & maintaining relationships with surrounding hospitals, and referral sources, as well as the ability to develop new relationships
• Maintaining constant communication with all Marketers/outreach team throughout the day to maximize admissions
