Director of Admissions

Primary Function: The Director of Admissions communicates the school’s mission, policies, and programs to prospective students and their families through on-campus admission events, individual on-campus meetings and tours, presentations at middle schools and parishes, and direct message campaigns. The Director of Admissions facilitates the matriculation of individual prospective students and their families from the point of inquiry through enrollment.

Representative Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the development and maintenance of the strategic components of the school’s annual admissions plan to promote the school’s visibility and achieve enrollment goals.
  • Manage the direct-contact components of the school’s admission strategies, serving as a primary spokesperson representing DeLaSalle with prospective students and their families. 
  • Oversee the prospective student visitor program, including contacts with parents and visiting students; coordination of student hosts, follow-up with prospective students, families, and DeLaSalle staff.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director of Advancement in organizing programs relative to registration, orientation, and matriculation to the school of new students. 
  • Assist the Executive Director of Advancement in coordination of continuous enrollment of current students, monitoring attrition, and retention rates.
  • Assist with major Advancement Office events including but not limited to Summer Bridging Academy, Alumni Weekend, Homecoming, Gala, Open Houses, Entrance and Mastery Exams, Registration, and Enrollment Orientation.

Qualifications:

  • BA degree or higher preferred
  • 2-5 years of experience in middle or high school admissions 
  • Past oversight of an admissions team is a plus
  • Organized and creative
  • Adaptable and agile in workflow 
  • Excellent customer service and time management skills
  • Extroverted personality with a competitive spirit
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with diverse groups of people
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Versed in social media and digital communications 
  • Proficient use of computer, office equipment, and appropriate software to perform tasks 

(Windows and Google Applications a must, Finalsite, Veracross, and design software a plus)

  • Able to work 40 hours per week including occasional weekend and evening work
