Admissions Director

Duties:

  • Greeting and assisting patients, families, and visitors with the admission process.
  • Collecting and verifying personal, medical, and insurance information from patients or their representatives.
  • Explaining the policies, procedures, and services of the nursing home to patients and families.
  • Coordinating with medical, nursing, and accounting staff to ensure appropriate patient placement and payment arrangements.
  • Maintaining accurate and confidential records of admissions, discharges, transfers, and referrals.
  • Developing and implementing marketing strategies to promote the nursing home and attract new patients.
  • Resolving any issues or complaints related to admissions or patient satisfaction.
  • Provide administrative support to the admissions department
  • Schedule and coordinate appointments for patients
  • Maintain patient records and ensure accuracy of information
  • Handle inquiries and provide information to patients and their families
  • Assist with insurance verification and pre-authorization processes
  • Collaborate with medical staff to ensure smooth patient flow
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations


Experience:

  • Previous experience in a long term care setting a must
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures
  • Proficiency in using office equipment, such as phone systems and computers
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
