Director of Accounting & Finance

Overview: As the Director of Finance and Accounting at you will play a pivotal role in driving financial strategy and overseeing all aspects of financial planning, reporting, accounting, and compliance. You will collaborate closely with senior leadership to provide insights that guide strategic decisions and optimize financial performance in a fast-growing SaaS environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Strategy and Planning:

• Develop and implement financial planning processes and models to support strategic initiatives and business growth.
• Provide financial analysis, forecasting, and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders.

Financial Reporting and Analysis:

• Oversee timely and accurate preparation of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts.
• Analyze financial data and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; clearly communicate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

Accounting Operations:

• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial and tax regulations.

Internal Controls and Compliance:

• Establish and monitor internal controls to safeguard assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.

Financial Systems and Processes:

• Evaluate and improve financial systems and processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
• Implement best practices for financial operations and reporting.

Team Leadership and Development:

• Lead and mentor the finance and accounting team; provide guidance, coaching, and professional development opportunities.
• Foster a culture of high performance, continuous improvement, and collaboration within the finance and accounting team.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
• Proven experience in a senior financial management role in a SaaS or technology-driven environment.
• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles, financial planning, and analysis.
• Strong leadership skills with experience in managing and developing teams.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced work environment and manage multiple priorities.
