Director of Accounting (Must live in Atlanta metro)

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled Director of Accounting to lead the finance team. Reporting directly to the Global Controller, this role will be pivotal in managing critical aspects of our accounting operations, including audit management, month-end close processes, general ledger oversight, financial reporting, GAAP compliance, and driving process improvements. The Director of Accounting will also play a key role in shaping the future direction of our financial function as we continue to grow and evolve. Key Responsibilities include:

• Manage and oversee the audit process, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
• Lead the month-end close process with precision and efficiency, reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements.
• Provide strategic oversight of general ledger accounting activities to maintain accuracy and compliance.
• Drive internal and external financial reporting initiatives, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and GAAP standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance financial processes and controls, driving efficiency and accuracy.
• Utilize expertise in IPO readiness or similar experiences to prepare for potential future offerings.
• Cultivate and maintain relationships with external auditors, ensuring effective communication and cooperation.
• Mentor and develop accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
• Navigate periods of organizational growth, change, and transformation with resilience and adaptability.

Qualifications:

• CPA designation.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting (Master's preferred) or related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in accounting roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity.
• Extensive experience managing the accounting function, including GL oversight, month-end close, financial reporting, and audit management.
• Prior experience in public accounting (audit) is strongly preferred.
• Experience in the technology sector (Software, SaaS) is highly desirable.
• Proven success in managing external audit relationships and regulatory compliance.
• Strong leadership skills with a demonstrated ability to mentor and develop staff.
• Track record of stability and career progression in previous roles.
