Director of Accounting

Location: (Travel to SF will be needed)

Job Description

Director of Accounting to oversee all accounting and reporting activities for a leading company in the renewable energy sector. The Director will manage day-to-day operations and supervise a team responsible for accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Team Management: Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting team, ensuring high performance and productivity.
2. Financial Reporting: Analyze financial data and present accurate and timely financial reports, communicating monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
3. Compliance and Audits: Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements, and oversee audit activities of the company and its affiliates.
4. Systems and Processes: Manage accounting system integrations and improvements (Sage Intacct) and establish, document, and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and procedures.

Key Requirements:

1. Experience: Over 10 years of experience in accounting with extensive experience in coordinating audit activities and managing financial reporting.
2. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field (Master's degree is a plus).
3. Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of HANB, GAAP and IFRS.
4. Leadership: Excellent leadership and people management skills with a proven track record of building effective relationships across functional areas and with external partners.
