Summary


The Director of Sales & Business Development position is a key role in Atom’s Cloud Enterprise Transformation Practice. This is an exciting role that assists in the expansion and advancement of our existing Oracle Cloud ERP, EPM, SCM, HCM, and CX practices, focusing on the acquisition of new customers, leveraging networks and relationships to develop leads and secure new ERP enterprise transformation business opportunities.


A key role that serves to actively shape our team through recruitment, people development, and utilization of internal programs for engagement and development. A client facing role focused on thought out leadership and engagement on a standard day to day basis and at client facing events such as Oracle CloudWorld, Modern Business Experiences, Customer Visit Center presentations, etc.


As the Director of Sales & Business Development, you will lead and develop a high-performing sales and business development team, forge strategic partnerships, and identify new business opportunities to propel the company's growth trajectory in the Cloud Transformation space. Responsibilities:


  • Build and expand business relationships with current and potential clients.
  • Initiate a plan to approach potential clients through a variety of means, including identification of leads and qualifying opportunities.
  • Coordinate business generating activities such as but not limited to the development and implementation of customized sales strategies.
  • Collaborate with account management, recruiting, sales, and leadership to secure, retain and grow accounts.
  • Become familiar and understand client needs to provide solutions and support; answer potential client questions and follow-up call questions; respond to client requests for proposals (RFPs).
  • Create informative presentations; present and deliver information to potential clients at client meetings, industry exhibits, trade shows, conferences, and internal training event opportunities.
  • Create and maintain a list/database of prospect clients; maintain a database of prospective client information using CRM applications.
  • Maintain a pipeline of all sales administration and opportunities, using existing CRM software and internal processes.
  • Cold call; perform multiple outbound calls to potential clients; close sales and work with client through the closing process.
  • Meet all quotas for cold, active, inactive calls, appointments, interviews, and client visits; meeting or exceeding annual sales goals.
  • Collaborate with management on sales goals, planning, and forecasting; maintain short- and long-term business development plans.
  • Work in tandem with ERP Practice Directors and Board Advisory team to meet company’s vision / mission.
  • Direct the sales strategy and initiatives for trending / emerging technologies where services can be offered by Atom.
  • Set and drive strategic direction, influence ARR, ensure sales growth and maintain customer satisfaction.
  • Create and implement operational processes to drive consistency and support achievement of sales strategy.
  • Coach and direct team to ensure they can manage complex sales pursuits from qualifying the lead, developing a winning deal strategy with clear differentiation, and directing their pursuit team to build a solution the solves the customers problems and distinguishes us from our competition.
  • Validate and ensure maintenance and accuracy of key financial metrics for team - pipeline, forecast, bookings, attach, etc.
  • Take ownership of executive level client escalations and accountability for resolution.
  • Ensure team is cultivating customers to become references as a measure of our success in helping them achieve their targeted business outcomes.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create thought leadership and to improve the way we sell and deliver in the market.



Requirements (Must Have):


  • Minimum of 15 years consulting experience, including 5 or more years of consulting services senior management experience with P&L responsibility.
  • Entrepreneurial mentality and maintain an energetic zest for turning challenges into opportunities.
  • Eager to close sales and increase revenue to support the organization in building a successful ERP practice.
  • Dependable, detail oriented and innovative; proud to wear the jersey and play ‘til the whistle
  • Focused, collaborative and a good communicator that possesses strong customer-engagement skills with an executive presence.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; the ability to call, connect, and interact with potential customers.
  • Persuasive and goal-oriented with excellent analytical and time-management skills.
  • Demonstrate an executive presence, fine-tuned to communicate with C-Level Directors professionally and confidently.
  • Demonstrated and proven Oracle Cloud ERP, EPM, HCM, SCM, and CX sales results; knowledge of sales processes from initiation to close responsibilities.
  • Balance of advanced technical skills, functional knowledge, client consultative skills and operational management experience.
  • Line management experience including project, people, customer, financial management.
  • Product, technology, or industry expertise relevant to the trending digital transformation applications.
  • Possess an energetic, outgoing, and friendly demeanor with excellent organization and follow-up skills, and the ability to prioritize work assignments; Diligent in follow-up and follow through.
