My client are operating at the forefront of Machine Learning & AI Research. They're a late stage Start-up, backed by some of the biggest VCs and Investors in technology. They're focused on building foundational AI models that can be used in Drug Discovery. They blend together Generative AI, Diffusion Modelling and Deep Learning to design Proteins, Small Molecules and Antibodies in a spatial environment. The company were formed in 2018, and sit at just over 70 people. They're based in San Francisco and Boston.

This role is for someone at the Senior Staff/Principle/Lead Machine Learning Science level, who wants to transition into being a Director. You'll be working with a team of ML Scientists from some of the best AI Labs & Tech companies on the planet. It'll be a Director level role, and you'll be doing a mixture of hands on work, leading projects, setting strategy and ultimately leading a team. You'll be publishing papers in top journals, presenting at top conferences and working at the intersection of academia / industry. Day to day, you'll be developing novel approaches towards complex machine learning problems. Working on a wide variety of modalities in machine learning, but having a background in either deep learning R&D or diffusion modelling will set you up for success. Furthermore, you'll have the chance to grow out the team, hiring talent from the most exciting labs, research institutions and academic settings there is.

Does the following sound like you?

• PhD in Machine Learning, Computer Science or closely related subject area.
• Track record of publications in top journals that have a high impact in the wider ML community.
• Demonstrable experience blending cutting-edge R&D with a commercial mission and being able to translate complex ideas into novel approaches.
• Expert level understanding of either Deep Learning, Diffusion Modelling, Generative AI, Computer Vision or closely related area.
• Previous commercial experience in a top AI R&D Lab, technology company or AI Start-up, with a history of leading ML Science projects/initiatives.
• Acute awareness of ML Engineering/Operations concepts, modern Software Engineering techniques and ultimately exp working in modern engineering environments.
