Summary

Director, PMO/CM is responsible for the implementation, ongoing operations of a Program Management and Change Management Office. This includes defining and documenting all policies and processes of project lifecycles and providing training to IT staff. This individual will need to achieve cooperation, compliance, and engagement in the value of a PMO function in an environment of conflicting interests and opinions. This individual will need to have experience with change management and implementing CMDB. Identify new and innovative project/change management approaches / tools and embed these in the behavior and day to day activities of the organization’s operations.


Roles and Responsibilities

· Define the PMO strategy and lead the design and implementation of a common project management methodology, standards, and tools to drive and facilitate the successful delivery of projects.

· Lead the execution of a PMO governance, reporting and review framework to provide a holistic view of all project activity.

· Provide function for managing documentation, project history and organizational knowledge.

· Making it easy for project teams to do their jobs by reducing bureaucracy, prepare training materials, provide training, mentoring and quality assurance.

· Able to lead/manage multiple programs and portfolios to strategically deliver PMO objective.

· Overall Change Management accountability. Ownership of Change Request (CR) throughout the cycle.

· Applying a well-structured change management plan, methodology for any changes in IT organization.

· Supporting and managing the implementation plan.

· Working with project teams in integrating change actions into the actual overall project plan.

· Managing the change portfolio, evaluating the change impact and organizational readiness to limit potential risk and prepare for and successfully adopt the change.


This Position Supervises

· Up to 5 consultants


Education, Experience and Qualifications

· Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in IT project/change management managerial roles.

· Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related study and/or equivalent work experience.

· Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) is a plus.

· Experience in the implementation and successful operation of PMO’s and successful delivery of large programs.

· Experience in Infrastructure and Application Change management.

· Thorough understanding of Project Life Cycle, Framework, Project Management Process groups and associated tools.

· Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.

· Excellent relationship management and analytical skills.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

· Knowledgeable and experienced in efficient Change Management methods.

· Good organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills.

· Excellent training and coaching skills.

· Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Project Management Tools.


Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

· Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) is a plus.
