Overview

Job Summary

Responsible for the direct oversight and management of contracts for the Advocate Health Enterprise IT division. Includes vendor partner management and contracting functions. Acts as central point of coordination with legal and supply chain for all IT contracts including hardware, software, SaaS agreements.

Essential Functions

  • Craft, evaluate, and negotiate a wide variety of different IT contracts used within Information Technology.
  • Provide the team with overall direction and strategy for contract negotiations. Including providing language for business terms, pricing, SLAs, etc. and other redlines to agreements.
  • Monitor contracts and engage business owners to move forward with to close-out/cancel, extend, or process renewals
  • Maintain records for correspondence and documentation in relation to established contracts and those in progress. Including, validating the proposed agreements have been approved by necessary governance groups and budget dollars are available.
  • Communicate and present information to stakeholders about all contract-related matters. Including provide vendor management oversight to assist with any contractual issues that may arise.
  • Legal and supply chain coordination – acts as liaison and partners with groups to facilitate contracting. Ensures all contracts follow standard process including Legal review, IT Governance, and adherence to AH signature authority policy.
  • Identifies and assesses potential DEI vendors (Tier 1 and Tier 2) that potentially could provide a solution for an agreement. Makes recommendation to business leaders.

Education

Bachelor's Degree, Master Preferred Or Equivalent Experience

Field of Study (if applicable): Business, Information Technology

Experience

Years of Experience: 7+ Years in contract negotiations, vendor management, supply chain experience. Ideally 5 years of leadership experience.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills And Abilities (ksa)

  • Benchmarking of contracts, pricing, vendor spend, and understanding financial impacts of terms and conditions.
  • Comprehensive understanding of IT software and hardware licensing and purchase agreements.
  • Strong Analytical and Communication Skills.
  • Negotiation strategy skills and experience.
  • Ability to read a contract and place necessary key fields into contract lifecycle/budgeting tool.

Position is remote with some travel within the Southeast and Midwest.
