The Director of Investor Relations works directly with CFO, CEO and other senior management to communicate corporate strategy and financial performance with Wall Street, Audit Committee, Employees and Franchisees. This role is reesponsible for the management of activities, programs and projects associated with investor relations, primarily related to corporate disclosure and financial analysis. They will coach and develop the IR team, building skills & technical capabilities to grow individual team members and the overall efficiency of the department.
Responsibilities
The base pay range for this position is listed below. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and budget for the open position and also may vary depending on the candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, among other relevant factors. This range does not include an estimated value for any benefits, bonus, or other incentives that may be applicable based on position. * The target annual bonus for this role is 25% of annualized base salary, based on actual company and personal performance.

Pay Range: $142,000 - $256,000 Annually
The Director of Investor Relations works directly with CFO, CEO and other senior management to communicate corporate strategy and financial performance with Wall Street, Audit Committee, Employees and Franchisees. This role is reesponsible for the management of activities, programs and projects associated with investor relations, primarily related to corporate disclosure and financial analysis. They will coach and develop the IR team, building skills & technical capabilities to grow individual team members and the overall efficiency of the department.
Responsibilities
- Works directly with Chief Executive Officer, Chief Financial Officer, Chief Accounting Officer, Treasurer, and other key executives to develop key messages for the Wall Street community (equity and fixed income), Audit Committee,employees and Franchisees. Is accountable for the preparation of quarterly earnings releases, quarterly investor conference call presentations and ad hoc investor presentations. Also accountable to keep the IR Website current with up to date information.
- Work with CFO to manage key IR events, including investor days, conferences, road shows, annual meetings and other functions. Accountable to determine the IR events calendar including “investor targeting analysis” (maintain current investors; watch and influence “volatile” investors and develop and find new potential investors)
- Continually analyses sell-side analyst financial models and updates consensus report for CEO and CFO. Monitors sell-side consensus estimates for comparison to AOP and communicates comparative results to senior management. Also in regular contact with NASDAQ for stock surveillance, stock ownership changes etc.
- Directs internal competitive intelligence initiative, including benchmarking competitor financial reports for comparison to Company results and provides updates to CFO, Senior Leadership team and the Board of Directors.
- Helps to lead sell-side and buy-side investor calls with Chief Executive Officer and Chief Financial Officer by providing research and support for Q&A. Acts as primary contact for buy-side and sell-side analysts. Also handles sell-side and buyside calls independently with IR staff.
- Supports the Company’s ESG initiatives through an investor lens. Provides meaningful input on the annual CSR report and is a leader on our ESG outreach initiatives.
- Responsible for all external vendors that are utilized by the Investor Relations department. Responsible for the IR AOP budget which is ~$1M+ and quarterly forecasting process.
- Education: Bachelors Degree - Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 10+ years’ experience in IR, Capital Markets, Finance, or Marketing / Communications
- Budgeting / AOP experience
- Knowledge of stock market and SEC regulations
- Experience in a restaurant, retail or multi-unit company, preferred
- The preferred candidate will live in the central Ohio area to be on-site as needed for critical meetings but can enjoy a hybrid work schedule
