Role Overview
Responsible for the overall management of the Infrastructure environment and infrastructure staff, including Server Technologies, Database Technologies and Telecommunication Technologies. Manages the day to day operations of the infrastructure environment and manages the ongoing infrastructure needs for all projects and business needs. Participates in overall infrastructure strategy and budgeting exercises. Ensures infrastructure platforms and up to date, secure and issues are resolved in a timely manner.

What You'll Be Doing

- Manage day to day operations of infrastructure environment and supporting staff.
- Drive continuous process improvement and quality of service. This includes driving continually measurable KPI improvements.
- Provide ongoing infrastructure services to applications teams and meet development project requirements.
- Schedule and prioritize infrastructure activities to meet business and project demands
- Work with appropriate teams to ensure that best practices for security and governance are in place and being followed.
- Strategy: Collaborate with IT leadership and various teams in evolving vision for infrastructure operations and services.
- Lead 1-3 year strategic plan for all application support.
- Ensure that infrastructure platforms follow a continual modernization/upgrade path so that contemporary, supported infrastructure platforms are in place.
- Oversee and assist in activities to troubleshoot and resolve any issues relative to infrastructure platforms and ensure that appropriate measures are implemented to address any ongoing issues.
- 7 – 10 years of related experience managing infrastructure team(s) and related technologies
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent experience.
- Relevant Certifications Preferred
- Sound technical knowledge of Windows and Linux Server Operating Systems
- Sound technical knowledge Cloud based technologies (Office365, Azure & AWS)
- Sound technical knowledge of SQL Server and other relevant data base technologies
- Sound technical knowledge of telecommunications technologies
- Sound technical knowledge relevant platform technologies including, but not limited to backups, system monitoring, security, etc.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
- Strong leadership and prioritization skills
- Strong customer management/service skills
- Knowledge of industry standard KPI's related to service and support best practices
- Ability to manage distributed teams
- Experience in managing relationships with suppliers and management of SLA compliance
- Ability to recognize and respond to customer expectations with a sense of urgency
