MISSION STATEMENT
The Human Resources Director (HRD) Chandon California is responsible for developing and executing the human resource strategy in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of Moet Hennessy and Chandon Global. specifically in the areas of Health & Safety, DE&I, succession planning, talent management, change management, organizational and performance management, learning and development, employee relations, HR tech, engagement, compensation, and benefits. The HRD provides strategic leadership by articulating HR needs and plans to the Chandon California leadership team and operates as a senior business leader.
Chandon California is a multidimensional organization gathering in one place vineyards, production and operation, direct to consumer (hospitality, retail, CRM) and support functions which gives to HRD a very interesting playground.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
HR TEAM & FUNCTION LEADERSHIP
Provide overall leadership and guidance to the HR function/team by overseeing DE&I, talent acquisition, L&D, leadership development, compensation and benefits, Org. design, HR technologies; HR analytics; employee experience, relations, and engagement.
Coach and manage HR team members to ensure they are: executing their roles effectively; motivated and engaged; and, building their skills and career.
Provide overall leadership and guidance to ensure regular and adhoc group reporting, processes and initiatives are well executed
Develop benchmarking, succession and talent sharing strategies across Chandon global businesses (6 wineries), and the broader Moet Hennessy and LVMH Group
Lead / initiate international talent transfers to help facilitate expert knowledge sharing and fill talent gaps
Lead and partner with key stakeholders for full implementation of CSR and Diversity & Inclusion initiatives
HEALTH & SAFETY
Provide leadership for the Health & Safety function with stakeholders and across the business and group
Provide overall leadership and guidance to the Health & Safety function/team by overseeing the effective management of the 4 key components of the Safety Management System of Work: Policy; Risk Management; Assurance and Engagement
Provide overall leadership and direction in respect to the choice and management of external partners, including H&S consultants; legal advisors; trainers; medical and health services; and technology partners.
Lead the H&S Team and Safety Committee in the development and implementation of Health & Safety plans and strategies
HR PLANNING & STRATEGY
Partner with key stakeholders in the development of Chandon USA HR Strategy, aligned with Chandon local and global business and HR Strategies
Approve and monitor all aspects of HR and Staff Costs Budgets and lead updates and responses as appropriate
Lead Chandon USA OMR (Organisation Management Review) and PMT planning process (HR content)
Translate HR Strategies to implementable road maps and monitor progress
LEGAL & COMPLIANCE
Ensure appropriate legal, ethical and compliance policies and practices are communicated, understood, and applied within the HR function and across the business
Liaise closely with LVMH and External Legal Advisors on both proactive and reactive topics
Act as an escalation point for key incidents or disputes
HR GENERAL MANAGEMENT
Participate in / represent Chandon USA in LVMH USA HOHR meetings
Partner with other Moet Hennessy and LVMH businesses on appropriate projects and initiatives
Function as a strategic business advisor to the executive/senior management of each business function regarding key organizational and management issues.
QUALIFICATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS REQUIRED:
Education
A degree from an accredited university; MBA or Masters Degree in human resources or related field preferred.
Language
English (advanced), a second language would be well regarded
Professional Experience And Know How
Senior HR leadership, ideally in an Industrial/Agricultural environment and/or Hospitality and Retail
International HR experience preferred
Demonstrated success leading both operational and strategic HR required
Technical And Management Skills
Sound knowledge of USA/California employment law and practices
Excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
Knowledge of company (LVMH / Moet Hennessy) HR tools, reporting and management processes
