The Global Procurement Strategy Director will help drive strategy and organization improvement projects. This role provides broad exposure across Global Supply Chain domains (e.g., quality, sustainability, risk management, process excellence, and digitization) and procurement categories (e.g., semiconductor, fabricated parts, raw materials, etc.) as well as the platform to work with executives and other levels. The role is for fast and adaptable learners/problem solvers who enjoy tackling challenges in a dynamic environment.
You will be part of an industry-leading organization (#1 in Gartner’s 2023 and 2024 Global Supply Chain ranking, etc.) and can rotate into other roles.
What will you do in this position?
Drive key procurement strategy topics and coordination of such strategy execution across the 1,500 people+ Procurement organization globally
Be an instrumental part of procurement organizational improvement projects, in alignment with broader supply chain and corporate strategy
Manage independent workstreams to formulate data-driven insights/recommendations
Understand the problem and context
Conduct data gathering and analysis across applicable Procurement and Supply Chain teams
Synthesize and align with stakeholders
Develop and validate proposed path forward; coordinate Procurement organization to implement
Help prepare executive level presentations
Support ad hoc assignments to drive strategic topics and coordinate project launch of such topics
Qualifications
What qualifications will make you successful for this role?
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Procurement, etc.;
Direct or indirect category management, procurement digitalization, and procurement operations process execution working knowledge required (4+ years of Procurement sourcing and category management experience)
7+ years of experience of driving Procurement strategy-related topics problem definition, analytics, stakeholder alignment on solution exploration, and coordination of global execution, preferably in combination of both top tier management consulting firms and industry settings; 5+ years of management consulting experience required
Experience working in a complex global matrix organization
Ownership mindset with proven ability to deliver
Curious and investigative nature
Ability to connect qualitative and quantitative data points to distill the big picture
Strong communication and influence skills
Proficient in MS PowerPoint, Excel, etc.
