Director, Front-end Modules (semiconductors)

We are looking for a leader that will have a team to develop front-end modules. Having a team of 10 engineers in the span of a year and developing 1-2 front-end modules. Team will report to Sr. Director. Team is comprised of Module Design Engineers, EM Engineers and Test Engineers. Self-contained team working on customer products, using support functions as needed to fil in the gaps. Currently has 3 teams like this in his organization and is looking to expand and create a new team to meet business demands. Need someone with customer facing experience; there will be direct customer engagement on technical specs, product roadmaps and feedback. Focus on design, test, quality, manufacturability, etc. Should have been exposed to leading teams, technology roadmaps and developing junior engineers.

No Active design work, reviewing the work of others and making decisions to guide the overall direction of the design. Making data driven, analytical based decisions.

Almost No hands-on design work in this role. Should have design experience so they can understand what the tool is doing, what the data means and what the limitations are so they can decipher what is correct/accurate and what is not.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering; Master's preferred
• 15 years' relevant design experience within semiconductor industry
• Mobile and wifi experience
• 6+ years' leadership experience
• Experience with customer road maps
• Experience in Front End or Module level development
• Excellent presentation skills
• Strong data analysis skills
• Experience leading multi discipline teams and working across boundaries
