Position Summary

Responsible for driving the North American Shrink Bags Product Line performance to include profit and loss performance and operating cash flow by developing and executing product line strategy, managing the product life cycle, collaborating with supply chain and I&D to create customer value and supporting product marketing, business development and sales.

Job Description

Develop and Execute Product Line Strategy

  • With Product Line Marketing Lead Monthly Cross-Functional Team Operation Meetings to drive product line results: top line sales, margin, cash flow, and balance sheet. This will focus on in-year performance to AOP, feeding into the Integrated Business Planning Process (IBP).
  • Lead Portfolio Management Review (PMR) Process for shrink bag product line to contribute to 3-year product line outlook as part of IBP.
  • Develop and refine product line Product and Service Offer (P&SO) that meets customer and market needs while influencing customer behavior that benefits Sealed Air’s operational efficiency and cash flow.
  • Support business unit driven capital investment process for growth PARS.
  • Coordinate with Regional Shrink Bags Product Marketing and Global Shrink Bags Portfolio for Product Line Sustainability Roadmap.

Product Lifecycle Management

  • Manage shrink bag IDP projects for the regional commercial team.
  • Manage raw material Product Line Expansion (PLE) with I&D and Supply Chain.
  • SKU rationalization.

Sales Support

  • Manage escalation of critical customer issues with other functions (quality, pricing, delivery, regulatory/health & safety.
  • Claim settlement.
  • Focus on low-margin business improvement, and retention expansion of high-margin business.
  • Consulted and informed on Request for Information (RFI), Request for Proposal (RFP), and Customer/Sales requests.

Supply Chain Interaction

  • In conjunction with supply chain monitor:
  • Daily: Product Order Backlog
  • Weekly: Production Output, Order Receipts, Finished Good Inventory, Late Orders, Shipments
  • Monthly: On Time Complete (OTC), Product Cost, Quality (PPM)

Qualifications

A 4-year degree in Engineering, Science, Business or Finance.

  • Demonstrated ability to work with cross-functional stakeholders to effectively drive results and manage change.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel with advanced data analysis skills for analyzing multiple complex data sets.
  • Demonstrated ability to clearly and effectively communicate to executives; including project recommendations and product line strategies.
  • Ability to prioritize.

Additional Qualifications

  • Advanced degree preferred
  • 5+ years’ experience in product development, product lifecycle management, applications or supply chain management preferred.
  • Project management experience
  • SAP experience
