About The Role
We are seeking a strategic and experienced Director of FP&A to design and lead our FP&A function. As a fast-growing, private equity-backed business, this role is critical in driving our financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis functions. This position will work closely with senior management to support our business-to-business-to-consumer (B2B2C) model and per member per month (PMPM) revenue structure.
This is a remote role with occasional travel required to our San Francisco office.
You Will
Own and manage the financial model, including managing month-end and quarter-end close processes.
Lead and develop the FP&A function, creating frameworks and processes that align with Foodsmart's strategic goals and growth plans.
Oversee all financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting activities.
Provide detailed financial analysis and insights to support strategic decision-making.
Work closely with the CFO, CEO, and other senior leaders to ensure financial alignment with business objectives.
Partner with various departments to improve financial transparency and performance.
Drive continuous improvement in FP&A processes, systems, and tools.
Implement best practices in financial modeling, scenario analysis, and KPI tracking.
Manage and execute ad-hoc financial projects, including strategic finance initiatives, investment analysis, and performance improvement plans.
Prepare and present financial reports to senior management, investors, and other stakeholders.
Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
You Are
Proactive and act as a strategic partner in cross-functional collaboration, building meaningful business relationships along the way.
Enthusiastic about navigating a rapidly changing, hyper-growth environment.
Proven in leading and scaling finance organizations in high-growth settings, with a hands-on approach to creating and implementing processes.
Proficient in financial modeling, including ownership of the financial model.
Highly skilled in using tools such as Netsuite, enterprise budgeting tools, G Suite, and Excel.
You Have
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree preferred.
7+ years of progressive FP&A experience, ideally within a private equity-backed company.
Proven experience in creating and leading FP&A functions in high-growth environments.
Strong understanding of B2B2C business models and PMPM revenue structures.
Excellent financial modeling, analytical, and strategic planning skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to influence and drive change.
Preferred Skills
Previous experience in telenutrition, digital health, or related industries.
Experience with financial systems and tools such as Hyperion, Adaptive Insights, or similar platforms.
Familiarity with SaaS metrics and financial planning for technology-driven businesses.
Base Salary Range: $180,000/yr to $195,000/yr + equity + benefits
Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries at our headquarters in San Francisco, California. Individual pay is determined by work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
