The successful candidate will be motivated, detail-oriented, and instrumental in the development and design of compensation analytics for the Financial Planning & Analysis group. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical and modeling skills and the ability to interact with senior management. This role will be responsible for providing detailed compensation analysis and modeling related to the firm forecast and overall firm results, and ultimately reviewing them with the Head of Compensation, the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis, and the CFO. This individual will play an important role in overseeing day to day activities, updating crucial data repositories, as well as assisting the compensation group with ad-hoc projects. The role will have an integral role in assisting with the execution of financial compensation related initiatives. Major Responsibilities/Activities:
Responsible for the design and production of all financial analysis impacting compensation for the FP&A group
Critical to the forecasting process for inclusion in guidance on the firm’s earnings calls
Play a central role in the production and analysis of scorecards measuring functions across the firm including Investments, Institutional Sales, and Wealth Management. Will require maintaining relevant KPIs to assess these teams
Engage with key senior leaders across the firm including the Global Head of Distribution, Head of Wealth Management, and other members of the firm’s Executive Committee
Manage the administration of the compensation forecast and liaising with Human Resources on all personnel changes, i.e. turnover, headcount planning and budgeting for six legal entities
Coordinate the global year-end compensation processes including preparation of departmental templates, individual year-end compensation statements and creation of long-term incentive statements that involve six currencies
Assist in design and prepare ad-hoc compensation and budget related reports for management
Support Compensation team in the development and documentation of compensation processes
Critical support for VP, Compensation in all areas
Minimum Requirements:
8-12 years of Corporate Finance and 5+ years of financial modeling experience
Compensation experience, a plus
Bachelor’s Degree with a concentration in a quantitative/analytical major such as economics, finance, business, math, statistics, etc.
Self-starter with extreme detail orientation
Team player with a can-do attitude who is flexible and comfortable with changing priorities/deadlines
Intellectually curious – willingness to challenge the status quo and create high quality outputs
Advanced excel skills – including complex formulas
Experience with large database management
Strong interpersonal communication and writing skills
Comfortable handling confidential and highly sensitive data
