Director, External Corporate Communication

Location: Remote with requirement to travel for business needs

In your role as Director, External Corporate Communications, you develop strategic communication plans that advance and protect Hain’s corporate reputation. You will lead global corporate storytelling to drive awareness of Hain as a leader in Purpose-Driven, Better For You Brands. Reporting to the Chief Communications Officer, you will work collaboratively with Brands/Brand PR, Global Impact, HR, our ERG’s, and Global Internal Communications teams to drive high-impactful strategies and ensure they are executed with excellence. In this role, you will also be responsible for leading and managing content strategy for Hain’s owned corporate channels including Hain.com, Hain’s Corporate Blog and social media handles (LinkedIn, IG, FB).

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Translate corporate and group strategies into compelling region communications plans and storytelling.
• Design and manages external communications activation calendar.
• Act as lead strategic communications partner for brands, Impact (sustainability, nutrition/wellbeing and DE&I).
• Lead engagement, planning and management of Hain.com & corporate social media presence.
• Identify and support award submissions, surveys and executive speaking engagements.
• Draft press releases, key messaging, Q&A documents, etc.
• Working with trade, business media to pitch and land stories about Hain.
• Proactively identify, assess and manage reputational risks, in partnership with legal, regulatory & consumer affairs.
• Deliver regular tracking and KPI reporting to senior management.

Education and Experience:

• 4-Year/bachelor degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism or related field with an understanding of communications principles and practices.
• Master’s degree in communications and or integrated marketing communications (IMC) a plus.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in communications role. Food and/or health and wellness industry experience preferred.
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills, including both advanced written and oral communications. Fluent in AP style.
• Strong project-management skills, including the ability to meet tight deadlines and juggle multiple priorities.
• Detail oriented and able to execute flawlessly on projects in a fast-paced, often pressured environment.
• Able to work independently, as well as effectively with internal teams across the organization and external vendor partners.
• Possess a positive, can-do attitude and provide responsive client service.
• Have absolute ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion, and possess a high level of accuracy with information.
• Ability to use Microsoft Office applications.
• Understanding of website management & social media.

Compensation and Benefits:
