This senior communications leadership role will be a trusted partner to the Office of the CEO, and will report to the Head of Global Communications. You will be responsible for all internal communications, as well as developing the CEO’s communications strategy and content.

You will be part of a team that produces communications with and for Moveworks executives. You’ll devise creative, fun, and non-standard communications to help leaders articulate the company’s strategy to their teams and the wider industry. The ideal candidate is able to understand complex topics, break them down into digestible, relatable language, and coach executives on how to communicate those issues in written (emails, blog posts, FAQ) and verbal (strategy presentations, videos) forms.

What You Will Do

Internal

  • Establish and execute internal CEO communications strategy and plan that engages employees, connects them to company strategy, and ensures key messages cascade through the org.
  • Develop, write, and edit communications for senior executives, customers and the Board of Directors, including emails, FAQs and presentations.
  • Drafting concise yet thorough briefing materials used to prepare the CEO for internal and select external engagements
  • Implementing processes that drive long-term planning, high-quality content gathering, and rigorous execution across all aspects of CEO communications.
  • Ensure organizational decisions and initiatives are successfully communicated to employees and stakeholders.
  • Plan, edit, and write content for a variety of internal communications, such as the company intranet, Slack, organizational announcements, video scripts, etc.
  • Create communications for large internal sessions/events (i.e. SKO, Friday Syncs (company all hands), Fireside Chats, etc.)
  • Develop and execute creative strategies for communicating to employees, taking into account the needs of different audiences.
  • Plan the frequency and channels of communication and coordinate stakeholders across different areas of the business and the company.
  • Manage internal communications plans, tactics, and outcomes.
  • Interact with and influence executives in order to deliver effective communication that reflects a shared understanding of the business and their leadership style.

External

  • Establish an external communications strategy in conjunction with PR that helps amplify the corporate narrative
  • Draft compelling speeches, blogs, presentations for external audiences
  • Prepare customer-facing communications on behalf of the CEO (i.e. CABs, customer briefings, email communications, social posts, etc.)
  • Selectively support strategic external presentations (board decks, financial analyst meetings, etc.)
  • Manage social media strategy and presence in collaboration with the Comms team’s overall strategy
  • Partnering closely with the Head of Global Communications to drive a sustained CEO media program.

What You Bring To The Table

  • At least 10 years of communications leadership experience.
  • Significant executive communications experience.
  • Proven track record of handing highly confidential material and information.
  • A great writer, with experience spanning speech writing, messaging and talking points.
  • Strong executive presence that inspires trust and confidence.
  • Strategic thinker with a strong grasp on business trends.
  • Sound judgment, with the ability to balance short- and long-term priorities in a disciplined manner.
  • Experience managing an executive’s social media presence.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment and calmly adapts to change when needed.
  • A strong external network that can be leveraged to support strategic objectives.
  • Experience effectively managing relationships with external agency partners to maximize impact.

You are a curious and organized team player who will help execute strategic communication campaigns, including: compelling messages for leadership, thoughtful presentations for internal meetings, and innovative campaigns to engage employees and build a shared culture. You are able to crisply summarize technical and business concepts in both written and verbal formats. You love learning about the technology behind the products and finding the white space. You thrive in highly collaborative roles, working with teammates, leadership, internal partners in PR, Policy, Legal, HR, and Operations/Program Management to keep audiences engaged, inspired, and informed.

To succeed in this role, you must be agile, quick witted, willing to try new things, and be able to manage numerous projects with tight deadlines. Things happen quickly at Moveworks, and to do great work, you need to be an enthusiastic team player who can work cross-functionally with partners across HR, PR, comms, marketing, product and beyond.

Base Compensation Range: $235,000 - $267,000

Compensation Structure: Base + Variable + Equity

  • Our compensation package includes a market competitive salary, equity for all full time roles, exceptional benefits, and, for applicable roles, commissions or bonus plans.

Ultimately, in determining pay, final offers may vary from the amount listed based on geography, the role’s scope and complexity, the candidate’s experience and expertise, and other factors.
