Director, Events & Sponsorships

About

Information about the Role, Line of Business and Team:

The Director, Events & Sponsorships role works with the VP, Events & Sponsorships and the Corporate Communications team to support division and profit center leaders across C&F to develop, execute and manage corporate events that support business objectives and C&F wide strategies.

What You Will Do

  • Engage and manage strategic internal and client-facing events for business partners which meet their needs and objectives
  • Build trust and credibility for the Events & Sponsorship function across C&F businesses by developing strong client relationships and executing with excellence
  • Deliver planning and idea creation through to successful event, understanding client goals and helping to develop goals into ideas that move the business needle and raise C&F’s profile
  • Create events & sponsorships Cvent registration sites, surveys, event app/attendee hub, portal updates, reporting, budgeting, post-event details
  • Engage Corporate Communications and Marketing team to support design, marketing and messaging, PR and digital assets, helping deliver connected marketing, as needed
  • Work with business leads to capture ROI/ROE via Salesforce, Surveys, and other C&F platforms (connecting the dots)
  • Manage events & sponsorships budgets and invoices throughout the planning lifecycle
  • Assist with new requests for custom promotional items as needed
  • Mentor junior team members

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience required
  • 10+ years of overall related experience
  • 5-10 years’ experience as a Corporate Event Planner, preferably in Insurance and/or Financial Services Industry
  • Experience managing association sponsorships
  • Ability to travel 20-30%, domestic
  • Experience in managing events of all sizes, including internal and external meetings and conferences, marquis events, industry conferences, and more
  • Knowledge in Microsoft Office products, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, etc.
  • Cvent knowledge, super user desired
  • CMP (Certified Meeting Professional) Designation preferred
  • Knowledge of CRM platforms (Salesforce) and Constant Contact, or other email distribution platforms a plus

Crum & Forster is committed to ensuring a workplace free from discriminatory pay disparities and complying with applicable pay equity laws. Salary ranges are available for all positions at this location, taking into account roles with a comparable level of responsibility and impact in the relevant labor market and these salary ranges are regularly reviewed and adjusted in accordance with prevailing market conditions. The annualized base pay for the advertised position, located in the specified area, ranges from a minimum of $95,900 to a maximum of $159,900. The actual compensation is determined by various factors, including but not limited to the market pay for the jobs at each level, the responsibilities and skills required for each job, and the employee’s contribution (performance) in that role. To be considered within market range, a salary is at or above the minimum of the range. You may also have the opportunity to participate in discretionary equity (stock) based compensation and/or performance-based variable pay programs.
