As the Environmental, Health & Safety Training Manager, you will spearhead the establishment and execution of the company's EH&S training program and promote a robust safety culture for our workforce. In addition, you will oversee a team of EH&S experts and trainers responsible for implementing our programs for employees and contractors across North America.

Responsibilities

  • Develops, executes, and upholds existing safety and quality protocols, practices, and instruction in adherence to regional, statewide, and federal statutes and guidelines, encompassing, though not restricted to, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA)—partner with operational leaders to develop standards and strategies that reduce safety, regulatory and financial risks.
  • Formulate and deliver training to all staff members, including management, on EHS protocols, practices, and methods.
  • Assists the EH&S team with investigated injuries and root cause analysis reported to management on individual cases and monitored periodically.
  • Supervises site safety and health inspections across multiple markets, guaranteeing compliance with client requirements and training standards. Providing direction for compliance issues noted.
  • Provides updated training material and establish timelines for employee training requirements.
  • Manages training to include in-house instructors, learning management systems, and all aspects related to the companies' training environments.
  • The ability to liaise with clients and government officials to guarantee conformity with safety and training standards.
  • Provides statistical data and tracking to the company leadership, which outlines leading and lagging details and implements improvement plans when required.
  • Establishes training goals and related skill sets by job description for all companies.
  • Administers project worker's compensation programs and procedures.
  • May act as on-site first aid and medical provider.
  • Develops and implements safety and industrial hygiene in consulting plans and studies.
  • Examines data resulting from Safety & Health investigations, consolidating reports that detail discoveries and suggestions. This includes administrative, emergency, and personal protective equipment (PPE) controls.
  • Must be able to facilitate the advancement of processes and manage changes through the execution of improvement projects that support continuous improvement efforts.

Qualifications

  • Extensive expertise in building and leading an EH&S program within the wireless site construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA Regulations, NATE, state and local safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent progressive job experience in EH&S.
  • Candidate MUST have a CSP Certification.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Excellent computer skills with Microsoft Office products (Excel, Outlook).
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Salary range for this position is 100,000-113,000

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

  • This is a full-time, exempt position. Days of work are Monday through Friday. Some evenings and weekends are required
  • Travel to sites is required. Travel throughout the U.S. as needed. Overnight hotel stays if the job requires it.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and be insurable under the company insurance policy.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here represent those that an employee must meet to perform the essential functions of this job successfully. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, talk and hear. The employee must regularly lift up to 51 pounds, be able to push, pull, carry, or maneuver heavier items (with additional manpower or appropriate devices), carry and climb ladders, work from heights, work in small crawl spaces, balance, stoop, and kneel. The employee is expected to work in all weather conditions, both in extreme cold and heat. The employee may drive for extended periods, including all weather and light conditions.
