Director Environment Health Safety

We are currently searching for an outstanding individual to serve as our Head of Environmental Health and Safety (EHS). As a member of our Leadership Team, you will report to the Chief Operations Officier. The role will have primary responsibility is to assure safe and secure facilities, behaviors, and practices by establishing, and monitoring current and new safety practices, policies, and initiatives. The role will be expected to bring innovative, as well as compliance-based safety behaviors and practices to our facilities and team to ensure our values, vision and mission are achieved. You will be the subject matter expert for EHS, risk mitigation, and advancing the company to the highest levels of safety.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelors or higher degree in safety management, engineering, chemical or environmental highly preferred. Certified Safety Professional (CSP) certification desired.
• 7+ years experience in leading EHS efforts for a global manufacturing company. Strong preference for prior chemicals industry experience.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with tribe members, leadership teams and the public.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and be flexible in working on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to develop internal and external relationships.
• Proficient in computer applications including Microsoft and Google applications.
• Strong knowledge of the engineering practices and OSHA process safety management 14 elements.
• Willing and able to travel up to 75%.
