Director Enterprise Strategic Sourcing

Your Impact

The Director, Enterprise Strategic Sourcing is to lead a team of strategic sourcing professionals to accomplish the goals of both the organization and the business units the team supports. They should position the team for success by moving upstream to align resources with enough time to leverage competitive sourcing practices. Other key components of the role include developing their teams for success, building relationships throughout the company, and supporting key initiatives for the organization. The Director will be accountable for indirect sourcing for large, single business unit functions.

What You Will Do

• Leads team of managers and/or individual contributor technical/functional experts
• Splits time between leading and contributing through executing the work
• Delegates, directs and prioritizes work more often than the manager role
• Interprets, executes and recommends modifications to organizational policies
• Builds deep relationships with customers
• Supports partners across the organization based on strategic goal alignment for their teams and the organization to drive more spend under management
• Interacts with senior management, executives, and/or major customers, which frequently involves negotiating matters of significance to the organization
• Responsible for all category activities including, but not limited to category strategy development, execution of sourcing projects, negotiations, contracting, and supplier performance management providing autonomy to team members based on skill and performance
• Develops results-oriented plans and oversee day to day management for results
• Ensures compliance to policies and procedures for the organization and enterprise strategic sourcing
• Leads large category and department initiatives that impact the larger group in both sourcing projects and process improvement
• Drives creation of long-range sourcing plans for the team with the view of inserting the Enterprise Strategic Sourcing team early into the process for known projects and contracts
• Remains current on supply market trends, supplier economics and best practice sourcing
• Provides value-added advice and counsel to senior leadership/executives
• Works to leverage global Enterprise Strategic Sourcing team to improve efficiency with tactical projects, utilize global resources to improve sourcing project execution, and works to include global spend into projects where applicable
• Reconciles multiple stakeholder views to drive business results
• Identifies and advocates for use of deep data analytic capabilities and market insights to drive sourcing strategy and execution
• Leads teams in both the United States and India, developing talent and leading deliverables with a one-team concept in support of the business units
• Partners with Finance to ensure future spend is integrated into Financial Long-Range Plan, Annual Operating plan and quarterly forecast
  
  

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree Business, Engineering, Science, or related field and 8-10 Years Procurement, Supply Chain, Sales, Finance or similar work with an emphasis on sourcing, negotiations, and contracting
• 5 Years Leading a team
• 6 Years Project Management
• Experience with E-Sourcing Tools

• Master's Degree Business, Engineering, Science, or related field
• Master's Degree MBA, JD, MS, ME
• Proficient with MS Office Suite
• Building RFP, SOW, and Contracting
• Direct Negotiations
