Position Summary

The Director of Digital Operations is responsible for the identification, planning, and execution of digital initiatives across Children's Minnesota that includes, but is not limited to: telehealth and virtual care; digital front door; and artificial intelligence. The Manager- Access Center Operations has a dotted line to this individual to ensure alignment with digital front door initiatives. This individual works closely with the Medical Director, Digital Health Transformation; together, they are tasked with planning and executing on the organization's vision for virtual / digital. The Director of Digital Operations' primary roles are to: 1) partner with business owners to define how technology can solve key clinical/business problems, 2) be part of the vetting team for new technologic investments that impact clinical operations and define stakeholder requirements and ROI; 3) lead the execution of virtual/digital clinical investments across the organization including synchronous, asynchronous, remote patient monitoring, telehealth, chat, and other capabilities, 4) ensure optimization of organizational investments through metric tracking and ROI calculations. This role reports up to the Senior Director - Ambulatory Strategy & Specialty Care.

Location (e.g. remote or on-site): Hybrid- remote, but expected to be on site as needed for team meetings and project implementations

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree in healthcare administration, business, engineering, information systems or clinical area preferred.

Experience (preferred):

  • 5-10 years' experience in healthcare, with a preference for operations or strategy role
  • 3-5 years' of management/leadership experience

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • A proven track record of successful operational execution & system implementations.
  • Interest and skills in technology & innovation.
  • Demonstrated ability in strategic thinking, planning, and implementation.
  • Skilled in using data; strong financial acumen and experience managing a budget.
  • Motivated to improve value through increased quality care that is safe, patient-centered, efficient, effective, equitable, and timely at a reduced cost.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and facilitate effective teams with proven ability to realize favorable outcomes and performance.
  • Effective communicator both in facilitating group discussion and presenting information in larger forums of diverse constituents, including business clients.
  • Experience in successful partnering with other health care programs and organizations.
  • Direct in-depth experience in developing interdepartmental relationships, ability to work collaboratively.
  • Understanding of the current and evolving healthcare environment.
  • Able to travel regionally as needed.

The posted pay range represents rates for a grouping of multiple jobs within a salary grade. We carefully consider a wide range of factors including but not limited to market indicators for the specific role, the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate, and organizational needs. Base pay is just one piece of the total rewards program offered by Children’s Minnesota.
