As Director of Communications, you will be responsible for working alongside and maintaining clients of all different industries, such as tech, healthcare, consumer packaged goods, biotech, and nonprofits. The ideal candidate will have an open personality and a desire to strategically develop solutions for clients.
The Role:
- Take charge of day-to-day client communications, acting as the primary point of contact for a pivotal client.
- Spearhead the creation of media strategies on both national and local scales, identifying compelling angles and key journalists to target.
- The position sits at the intersection of earned, social, business strategy and public policy.
- Issue management, crisis communications, and providing high-level strategy for clients across pivotal moments, and managing complex issues
- Assist in shaping and delivering persuasive messaging and associated materials
- Oversee larger accounts - managing schedules, deadlines, and monitoring budgetary requirements.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Experience within an agency setting is desirable, and candidates from all sectors are welcome.
- They are highly receptive to various backgrounds, prioritizing traits such as personality and intelligence.
- Should possess expertise in issue management, including assisting clients in navigating critical situations that involve earned media, social dynamics, business strategies, and public policy.
Title: Director of Communications
Experience: 8-12 years
Salary: 130k- 165k depending on years of experience
Location: DC, New York and SF preferred
