Overview
The Director, Contract Manufacturing will manage the contract packing network within all assigned co-manufacturing facilities.
This role will serve as “General Manager” of all assigned Hain Celestial Group relationships with key focus on 1) Delivering FUEL thru productivity 2) Enabling Growth thru capacity development and 3) Reducing Risk thru contracts and business continuity planning.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Develop and implement strategies to optimize the existing Hain Celestial Group co-packer network
Develop partnerships with co-pack suppliers to reduce cost and improve quality
Strive to ensure lowest delivered cost whether turnkey vs. tolling arrangements
Working with Planning and Co-Man OPS teams to maintain appropriate inventory levels (raw, package, and finished good), and satisfactory service levels
Serve as a liaison in resolving issues between Hain Celestial Group Production Planning staff and Co-Packer
Project management of initial production setup of both new co-packers and new products
Develop formal business continuity plans for all key strategic supply relationships
Support marketing and R&D with sourcing new and alternate production facilities for both new and existing products
Develop and review standard cost of goods with Finance and Marketing
Prepare annual budgets for assigned co-manufacturing facilities
Develop/maintain database containing key information for all Co-Packers-including terms, conditions, SKUs & pricing (broken down into key components)
Requirements:
Minimum 7-10 years’ experience in managing 3rd party manufacturers and/or suppliers, or related role
Engineering, Operations Management, or other technical degree is required, MBA preferred
Operations experience in a food or Consumer Products Manufacturing background
Project Management experience
Strong collaboration skills with other cross-functional teams (R&D, Legal, Sales, Marketing, & Finance)
Strong strategic planning and tactical decision-making skills
Ability to prepare and analyze standard cost of goods
Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize tasks and meet constant deadline with strong attention to detail and quality control
Compensation and Benefits:
$120000-$170000 / year (commensurate with experience and location)
