Location: Remote / Type: Direct Hire


Bottom Line / In a Nutshell:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university in computer science, information systems, or a related field and 10+ years relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience in team management/development or project leadership is required; great communication skills, comfortable communicating at all levels, a great collaborator.
  • 5+ years in an SAP management role preferred
  • Strong technical SAP experience required; proficiency in SAP products such as SAP ERP, SAP S/4 HANA, SAP BW/BI, SAP CRM, etc.
  • Experience in Applications as a whole is required
  • Previous PM experience would be a plus

Job Description:


The Continuous Improvement Application Strategy Director will lead a team focused on deploying tools, processes and transforming the company to a CI culture through partnering with IT Strategy & Delivery, IT Technical and the business partners to ensure acceleration of CI methodology.


The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the development and execution of technical and application roadmaps, including SAP system upgrades. They will also drive continuous improvement initiatives and lead automation efforts related to SAP and other applications. This role requires a strategic thinker with a strong understanding of SAP systems and a proven track record.


Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the coordination of current state ERP documentation, leveraging information gathered from SAP reports and other technologies assessing our larger ERP landscape.
  • Develop and manage comprehensive technical and application roadmaps for SAP systems, ensuring alignment with business objectives and IT strategy.
  • Plan SAP system upgrades, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Conduct impact assessments for SAP upgrades, identifying potential risks and devising mitigation strategies.
  • Partner with the IT Strategy & Delivery and Technical Services teams to lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency, effectiveness, and utilization of SAP applications.
  • Drive automation efforts to streamline processes and reduce manual intervention in SAP systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional business and technology teams to understand business needs and translate them into IT requirements.
  • Maintain up to date knowledge of SAP technologies, updates, and best practices.
  • Coordinate technical demonstrations with SAP and any other ERP integrated partners to ensure understanding of available technologies.
  • Gain an understand of non-SAP ERP technologies at the company to understand the entire ecosystem.
  • Supervisory responsibilities for the CI team.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university in computer science, information systems, or a related field and 10+ years relevant experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of demonstrated experience in team management/development or project leadership is required.
  • 5+ years in an SAP management role preferred.
  • Experience with SAP systems including the development and execution of technical roadmaps and system upgrades.
  • Proven track record in managing large scale SAP projects.
  • Proficiency in SAP products such as SAP ERP, SAP S/4 HANA, SAP BW/BI, SAP CRM, etc.
  • Experience or familiarity with the technical areas of SAP (ABAP, Basis) is preferred.
  • Experience with total product landscapes (SAP and non-SAP systems exchanging information).
  • Strong understanding of industry best practices and trends in SAP implementation.
  • SAP certification is a plus.
  • Ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects and resources.
  • Experience in the consumer products and/or food industry is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure and software development lifecycle.
  • Experience in change management and business process re-engineering.
  • Solution Architect experience preferred.
  • Strong skills to manage contracts and agreements with vendors and partners.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong decision-making skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
  • Experience in training and mentoring team members.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Demonstrated ability to foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and requirements.
