Salary: $110K - $120K + 20% bonus + full package of benefits


Reports To: VP Associate Payroll and Workforce Solutions


Direct Reports: 3 - Payroll Manager, Payroll Coordinators


Location: Remote or hybrid in Dallas TX


Summary


United States’ largest light industrial staffing company is looking for a Associate Payroll Director. This position oversees all the daily functions, operations, and activities for associate payroll.

Establish and maintain policies and procedures to ensure timely routine processing and accurate calculation of wages, overtime, tax withholdings and deductions including garnishments.

Evaluate and develop improvements in operations, procedures, policies, and methods and maintain a good working relationship with multiple payroll vendors.



Responsibilities


Ensure accurate processing, reconciliation, and recordkeeping of multi-state payroll.

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll wage and hour laws and best practices.

Ability to collaborate with cross-functional leadership as well as with outside vendors to develop and launch key process improvements, safeguards, and controls.

Project lead for payroll related projects, including continuous development of processes that are scalable and support the company’s growth.

Think creatively to design and implement process solutions for the benefit of Employbridge and its employees and drive such solutions to completion.

Monitor developments of regulatory requirements that will affect company operations and provide updates to payroll colleagues and the organization accordingly.

Actively promote an enterprise-wide risk intelligent culture and develop/facilitate effective trainings of management and all personnel on a regular cadence.

Generate reporting and payroll-related data as necessary for compliance, strategic analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.

Oversee all claim related activities, including liaise with Legal on claim-related matters.

Respond to all payroll audit requests.

Assist in processing quarterly, and year end information including W2s.



Preferred Education & Experience


Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field required.

5-10 years Payroll supervisory management and multi-state payroll

Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) preferred.

Implementation experience preferred.


Competencies


In-depth knowledge of labor legislation and tax regulations

Extensive knowledge of the payroll function including preparation, balancing, internal controls, and payroll taxes

Leadership skills to achieve respect and drive results.

Ability to deliver exceptional customer experience, multi-task and manage time efficiently.

Excellent problem resolution skills: ability and confidence to make sound decisions.

Strong attention to detail; excellent written and verbal communication skills
