Director, ADA Compliance Officer - Remote

  • Maintain ADA Compliance expertise regarding applicable state/federal law regulations and guidelines to provide accurate and informed advice on accommodation requirements and obligations. Stay informed about best practices, resources and updated compliance requirements.

  • Conduct thorough assessments to determine the specific accommodation needs of individuals with disabilities, considering their functional limitations and balancing those with the essential functions of the role and the needs of the business.

  • Engage Human Resources and applicable business leaders in the interactive process to identify and implement appropriate accommodations, ensuring effective communication, collaboration, and documentation.

  • Provide informed advice and recommendations on reasonable accommodations that would effectively address the individual's disability-related barriers.

  • Work with internal legal counsel, HR and other stakeholders to keep all stakeholders informed throughout the process.

  • Review metrics to identify and explain trends to all levels of leadership proactively.

  • Maintain accurate and confidential records of accommodation requests, assessments, and outcomes, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations.

  • Collaborate with legal and Human Resources Business Partners to conduct training sessions and workshops to provide education and training as appropriate.

  • Well-versed in legal compliance, including but not limited to ADA, HIPAA, FMLA, and other applicable compliance regulations.

  • Familiarity with disability-related laws, regulations, and case law. Knowledge of assistive technologies and accessibility standards is beneficial.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to assess accommodation needs and recommend effective solutions.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information in compliance with applicable privacy laws.
