Job Title: Senior Accountant (Remote)

Job Description

A prestigious client in the finance industry is currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join their dynamic team. This full-time position offers the flexibility of remote work and a competitive salary of $120,000 per annum. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a critical role in the financial management and reporting of the company, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all financial regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of all financial transactions and reporting
• Reconcile bank statements and manage general ledger accounts
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
• Prepare and file tax returns and ensure compliance with all tax regulations
• Manage and mentor junior accounting staff
• Collaborate with external auditors and provide necessary documentation
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency
• Ensure adherence to internal controls and financial policies
• Provide financial analysis and support for special projects as needed
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• CPA or equivalent certification highly preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior role
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and other accounting principles
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills
• Experience with major accounting software (QuickBooks, SAP, etc.)
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
