Your Role At Batesville

As a Digital Website Specialist, you will be responsible for collaborating with our marketing team, IT team, business stakeholders and website development agency partner to test and launch new content features within the company’s CMS. This position is responsible to oversee the CMS platform’s day-to-day operations including roadmap and maintenance. The CMS Specialist will establish processes to ensure system integrity as well as develop and implement polices for managing the digital content. They will oversee the governance of content lifecycle management. The CMS Specialist will be the subject matter expert on the CMS.

What You’ll Do

  • Technical Website Management: Oversee CMS platform’s day-to-day technical operations including performance, integrations, roadmap, and ongoing maintenance.
  • Establish processes to ensure system integrity and appropriate access controls.
  • Engage and collaborate with technology counterparts to ensure successful testing of all system updates, upgrades, launches, enhancements, system integrations.
  • Translate business requirements into well-architected solutions that best leverage our CMS platform and website technologies.
  • Manage regular website release schedule and follow agile sprint cycle.
  • Ensure adherence to accessibility and usability guidelines for all websites.
  • Website Strategy: Develop and execute strategies to increase overall website engagement, conversion, site navigation, content accessibility and personalized journeys.
  • Content Management: Develop and implement policies for managing digital content including defining processes for creating, editing, and publishing content to various websites.
  • Oversee the governance of content lifecycle management. Collaborate with copywriter to manage the website editorial calendar to deliver the most targeted, compelling content to our website, while also focusing on search engine optimization.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with key stakeholders such as copywriter, SEO specialist, marketing automation specialist, content creators, designers, product managers, IT leaders and development teams to ensure effective use of the CMS and identify ways to improve the visitor experience.
  • Develop a deep understanding of our customer, products, target audiences and buyer’s journey to ensure our website meets the online customer experience needs and shopping patterns to increase traffic and conversions.
  • Serves as the subject matter expert on website industry trends and best practices with CMS technology and digital content management.
  • Performance Management and Analytics: Manage analytic tools to monitor user behavior, track performance metrics and derive actionable insights to drive conversions, digital brand awareness and sales-qualified leads. Manage CMS testing strategies and usage.
  • Other duties as required.

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S./B.A.) or equivalent from a college or university; and a minimum of 3 years related CMS experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience with an emphasis in digital content marketing.
  • Proven experience in the execution and building of website strategies, management, A/B testing, personalization, and segmentation strategies.
  • Experience managing users and optimizing the digital experience within a CMS (preferably WordPress and builder.io).
  • Experience with Google Analytics4
  • Strong understanding of web analytics
  • Detail-oriented, self-motivated and self-directed; ability to delegate, manage time and meet deadlines for concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to document requirements for content projects and tools.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and an ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and proactively.
  • Ability to communicate ideas in a clear, confident, and personable manner.
