Digital Product Analyst Enterprise Data

the Digital Product Analyst (DPA) will create business value by participating in the full lifecycle of business requirements, solution design, solution build and test, solution deployment and training for Enterprise Data solutions.

The DPA should leverage prior data experience to work closely with our business stakeholders, system integration partners and IT to create deliverables throughout the lifecycle of the project, with significant efforts being spent on requirements and testing phases.

These deliverables will include business requirements, user stories and journeys, checkpoints, sprint planning, backlog prioritization, agendas, conflict resolution methods, work plans, feasibility studies, test plans, acceptance criteria, user training and more.

The Digital Product Analyst leverages proven business analyst skills and agile methodologies and adapts to the needs of the Client start-up environment.

The DPA works closely with the Technology Team, Data Team, Finance Team, and Actuarial Team to deliver data to the organization.

The Digital Product Analyst is also the "story writer, responsible for writing user stories, UAT test scenarios and acceptance criteria.

The DPA will align operational efficiency needs with desired business objectives to create modern solutions for Client.

The DPA will define the expected behavior of data which requires significant detail, as there are complicated business rules, data relationships, workflows, and integration services.

The DPA is responsible for effectively translating the business requirements into the system configuration and integration requirements for IT and SI vendors.

A key accountability of the Digital Product Analyst is to ensure collaboration and clarity exists among the IT Application Managers and the stakeholders.

Using subject matter expertise, elicitation and influencing skills, the DPA does this by diving deep into problems and challenges, presenting solutions and providing options to progress forward within determined quality standards and timeframe goals.

The base salary expectation for this role is between $115,000 to 125,000 with a 15% bonus.

Actual base salary for the selected candidate may be higher commensurate with candidate experience and expectations.

Responsibilities Include

Elicits, analyzes, specifies, and validates the business needs of stakeholders

Collaborates with project sponsors to determine project scope and vision.

Conducts interviews to gather customer requirements via workshops, questionnaires, surveys, site visits, workflow storyboards, use cases, scenarios, and other methods.

Identifies and establishes scope and parameters of requirements analysis on a project-by-project basis to define project impact, outcome criteria, and metrics.

Analyzes and verifies requirements for completeness, consistency, comprehensibility, feasibility, and conformity to standards. Owns the requirements traceability matrix.

Translates conceptual customer requirements into functional requirements in a clear manner that is comprehensible to technicians.

Creates process models, specifications, diagrams, and charts to provide direction and clarify solution approach

Develops and conducts reviews of the business requirements to ensure that requirement specifications are correctly interpreted.

Manages and tracks the status of requirements throughout the project lifecycle; ensures that backlog requirements are transitioned to BAU operational processes including prioritization and release planning.

Maintains data mapping specifications as requirements for ETL program development.

Digital Product Analyst Qualifications / Skills

Bachelor's degree in Science required

5+ years as a Digital Product Analyst or in a similar business analyst role required

Excellent analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving skills

Excellent listening, interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills

Logical and efficient, with keen attention to detail

Able to exercise independent judgment and take action on it

Highly self-motivated and directed

Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure

Strong customer service orientation

Experience acting as the product owner of an organization's data strategy

Ability to work with business stakeholders to understand their needs for data and translate their requirements into user stories

Team-oriented and collaborative

Experience working in an outsourced IT delivery model involving multiple vendors

Experience being the product manager for enterprise data product teams responsible for insurance policies, claims and/or financial data is optional but ideal

Agile Scrum Experience Preferred

Experience using Roadmunk, Jira, or similar tools preferred

Salary: 125k with 15% bonus
