We are currently seeking a dynamic individual to join our team as a part-time teacher for Gravitas: A Global Extension of Our School. This unique opportunity involves developing and instructing online Digital Art classes.
Role Overview
As part of our institution's commitment to academic excellence, we are searching for an enthusiastic individual to lead our online Digital Art classes. This position offers the chance to be part of a vibrant team within one of the country's leading Christian academic institutions. The successful candidate will work remotely, collaborating with a talented team to inspire and educate students from diverse backgrounds.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and teach engaging courses in digital arts, fostering creativity and technical skills.
Deliver both synchronous and asynchronous instruction, ensuring students receive comprehensive learning experiences.
Assess and provide constructive feedback on students' work, supporting their growth and development.
Coordinate virtual gallery shows and assist students in participating in art competitions and preparing portfolios for college applications.
Qualifications And Skills
Bachelor's or master's degree in digital art or related field, with a focus on graphic design, animation, or photography.
Minimum of three years of teaching experience, including online instruction.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines and effectively manage grading.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a passion for engaging with students in an online setting.
Proficiency with technology, including learning management systems and Adobe Creative Suite.
Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment in alignment with our school's mission and values.
Benefits
Competitive salary of $6,000 per course, with the opportunity to teach a minimum of two courses per semester.
Additional courses may be available based on enrollment.
