Job Summary:

The Developer Operations Engineer will be responsible for building and improving our deployment pipelines. This role is crucial in helping our engineers continue to test and deploy code as we scale up our teams and user base. The Developer Operations Engineer will participate in the planning process including scoping, backlog planning, and retrospective meetings, as well as brining subject matter expertise in cloud technologies (CI/CD, Azure, AWS, Terraform, Docker/Kubernetes, Jenkins, GIT/Gitlab). This role and team are fully remote within the US.

Ability to prioritize well, communicate clearly, and think critically about balancing team needs regarding our infrastructure. You will be collaborating closely with our developers and QA team as you define SLO’s and Strong analytic capability and the ability to create innovative solutions. Essential Job Functions:

  • Passion for learning new technologies.
  • Ability to drive complex, multi-faceted projects independently.
  • Comfort with cross-functional collaboration and ability to thrive in dynamic environments with constantly evolving priorities.
  • Spearhead new initiatives with multiple engineering teams and establish SLO’s for the team.
  • Build and refine Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines using.
  • Provide on-call support in order to ensure stability and availability of infrastructure.
  • Comfortable working on a remote team (note: applicants must reside within the US)

Preferred Skills:

  • Site Reliability Engineering (SRE)
  • Cloud deployment technologies: Terraform, AWS, Azure, Docker/Kubernetes (K8s), Jenkins, GIT/Gitlab
  • Agile development methodologies
  • Understanding of software architecture principles
  • Microsoft Azure Cloud experience or equivalent

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • 7+ years of experience in a DevOps role, building CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GIT/Gitlab)
  • 4+ years of experience with at least one enterprise logging and monitoring solution (Datadog preferred)
  • 4+ years of experience in Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) best practices using Terraform,
  • 4+ years of experience in a public cloud provider – (AWS or Azure preferred)
  • 4+ years of experience in container orchestration using Docker/Kubernetes
  • 3+ years of experience implementing systems using the Agile/Scrum methodology.
  • Authorization to work in the United States

Working Conditions:

Professional office environment, daytime hours, working inside, standing, and sitting, will be assigned to a workstation.
