Role Description

Soul Trak Outdoors is seeking a part-time Development Manager to join our dynamic team. This hybrid role is pivotal in supporting our mission by driving fundraising efforts, developing and implementing strategic development plans, managing donor relationships, and coordinating impactful events. The Development Manager will work closely with the executive team to ensure that our fundraising goals are met and that we continue to grow our base of support. This position requires a combination of in-office work at our Washington DC-Baltimore Area location and the flexibility for remote work. The role is part-time, requiring a commitment of 15 hours per week.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and drive all fundraising initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Develop, implement, and manage comprehensive development strategies to increase funding and donor engagement.
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with donors, partners, and stakeholders.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute fundraising events and campaigns.
• Research, write, and submit grant proposals and reports.
• Maintain accurate records of donations, donor information, and fundraising activities.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling communication materials and campaigns.
• Monitor and analyze fundraising data to inform strategy and improve outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and ethical standards.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in fundraising and development, with a strong track record of meeting fundraising goals.
• In-depth knowledge of development strategies, donor relations, and fundraising best practices.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain lasting relationships.
• Demonstrated experience in event planning and coordination.
• Proficiency in grant writing and a thorough understanding of the grant funding process.
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Passion for outdoor spaces and activities, with a commitment to promoting environmental stewardship.
• Experience working in the nonprofit sector is highly desirable.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
