At the direction of the Executive Director and working closely with the Board of Directors and Chief Financial Officer, this position manages the day-to-day planning and execution for all resource development operations and initiatives, including, but not limited to; fundraising, foundation engagement, and relationship management with the company’s financial partners. Collaborates and coordinates with Organizational and Board Leadership to successfully plan and execute activities including but not limited to special events, major gifts, planned giving, sponsorships, grant writing, donor cultivation, and community relations. Engages donors and partners for the continuity and sustainability of committed gifts and resources.
Essential Functions
Develop and implement a comprehensive strategic resource development plan that aligns with and evolves to effectively support organizational goals.
Create and implement programs for major gifts, planned giving, volunteer giving, corporate and foundation funding; Develop standardized policies, practices, and procedures which provide a sustainable and broadly mixed funding base.
Create, update, and execute donor mailings, development collateral, press releases, appeal letters, gift acceptance acknowledgments, and media channel communications.
Build and sustain working relationships and communication with community associations, coalitions; business leaders; lenders; grant funders; faith-based and educational institutions.
Develop and submit scheduled and ad-hoc reports, differentiated for various target audiences, stakeholders, and partners.
Monitor ongoing progress of resource development activities; measured using industry-standard, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and benchmarks.
Drive engagement across diverse communities and audiences by leveraging innovative approaches to events and communication models.
Manage the company’s Donor’s Database.
Collaborate with the Chief Financial Officer for timely documentation, reporting, and compliance with fund resource awards.
Demonstrate adherence to organizational policies and expectations and behavioral competencies, both explicit and implicit.
All tasks, projects, and/or duties as assigned and authorized by the Executive Director and/or Board of Directors.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Public Relations, Marketing, Public/Nonprofit Administration, or related field, Required
Experience: 3 years’ Philanthropy and/or Development experience, Required
2 Years’ Experience Non-profit And/or Public Health, Strongly Preferred
Credentials: Certified Fund Raising Executive, Preferred
Certified Manager Certification, Preferred
General Certification in Nonprofit and/or Public Administration, Preferred
Additional: Valid and unrestricted driver’s license, Required
Experience With Microsoft Office Suite Products, Required
Experience with managing Donor Databases, Required
