The largest guide dog school in North America, Guide Dogs for the Blind relies on philanthropic donors to help us achieve our important mission. We’re looking for a Development Associate to join us at our San Rafael campus. Key responsibilities of the position include efficient data entry in Salesforce database, report and information management, and navigation of several systems to help enhance a fundraising program currently consisting of more than 80,000 generous donors annually.

Your duties will include:
Receive, process, post, and acknowledge high volume of donations in a timely fashion. Reconcile data-entry activity against accounting records.
Perform database functions to ensure accurate entry of data for GDB constituents.
Assist with mail, email and text campaign management; review correspondence, respond when needed, and code constituent records to align GDB donors with the communications experience they request.
Employ excellent donor service skills in answering Donations Department phone and providing email coverage in service of constituent needs and requests.
Maintain the Fundraising Database Procedures Manual by monitoring and entering additions and amendments as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Proficiency in Salesforce or similar database or fundraising software a must
Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs
Willingness to learn gift processing principles, practices and IRS standards
Excellent communication skills and the ability to produce clear documentation
Strong donor or customer service skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various teams
Familiarity with 501(c)(3) organizations
