Responsibilities

  • Promptly provide Help Desk and first-level technical support for computer systems, software, hardware, printers, and copiers, both during and outside business hours (remotely), for internal personnel and external clients/vendors.
  • Support law firm applications, focusing on Microsoft Office applications, document management, PDF creation and editing, redlining, and metadata scrubbing.
  • Install, modify, and repair computer hardware and software.
  • Provide operational support to maintain the efficiency of the local data center.
  • Support video conferencing technology in conference rooms and facilitate both internal and external meetings independently.
  • Support the firm’s mobile devices (smartphones and tablets) managed with the current MDM system.
  • Troubleshoot VPN login issues.
  • Perform basic account management in Active Directory for new hires and departures, assigning user access rights to various network groups and directories.
  • Manage employee onboarding and offboarding tasks across all systems and software.
  • Assist in maintaining an accurate inventory of technology assets and related components.
  • Provide end-user training to employees on IT policies, procedures, applications, and systems.


Ideally familiar with the following technologies:

  • Windows 10 & 11
  • Office 2016 & 2019 / Office 365
  • Document management software & Google Workspace
  • MDM Systems
  • Basic Active Directory administration
  • Video conferencing tools, including MS Teams, Cisco Webex, and Zoom Communications
  • Computer imaging and setup (desktops & laptops)


Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of related technical experience, preferably in a professional services environment.
  • Ability to effectively troubleshoot, research, and resolve software and hardware issues.
  • Understanding of networking concepts and TCP/IP, including DNS, DHCP, Active Directory, and Group Policies.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to perform well under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining strong relationships with management and peers.
  • Prior experience supporting Windows 10 OS, ChangePro, Metadact, Litera, Innova, Adobe, Nuance, and Mimecast is advantageous.
  • Experience with multifactor authentication and its use with Citrix XenDesktop and VPN connections is beneficial.
