Description:
Leading fashion company in New York City has an exciting opportunity for an organized and creative candidate to join their team. This company leads the industry in manufacturing, licensing and distributing fashion accessories, footwear, handbags, hosiery and intimate apparel.
In this role you will be responsible for developing multiple brands and private label collections in a growing and exciting environment, including handbags, SLGs, cosmetic and travel bags.
Role and Responsibilities:
Responsible for development and design of product, including research, sketching, tech packs and pre-production confirmations from concept to final execution
Track full development cycle of samples
Maintain, update, and share linesheets, PLM (style guide software) and sample requests
Coordinate with overseas office to develop new products, problem-solve design issues, approve materials and supervising sample lot production through daily communication
Responsible for all product corrections and execution through delivery
Maintain knowledge of fashion trends, shop market, attend trend meetings and leather shows
Work with design team to create moods for the season (color palettes, prints, materials etc.)
Work closely with business leaders and sales teams to address specific requests and build well-rounded collections
Prepare design presentations and linesheets
Attend sales meetings to and present line to buyers, meet with customers and generally assist in the sales and presentation process
Qualifications:
5+years of related experience
Bachelor of Arts degree preferred
Existing knowledge of the retail marketplace
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills•Strong proficiency in Adobe Photoshop & Illustrator, Microsoft Office Suite
Sharp eye for detail and design
Must have superior organizational skills

NY Pay Transparency:
The pay range for this position is ($60,000 – $70,000) annually based on skills and experience.
