Our client is looking for an innovative and driven Senior Project Engineer to join our growing company. This individual will work closely with our client and internal staff to drive our projects forward to completion. We are a young and dynamic company and are looking for a passionate individual with an entrepreneurial spirit who is willing to do what it takes to support our growth.
Responsible for all Civil Engineering tasks including but not limited to:
Lead and manage construction document preparation including drawings, project specifications, and cost estimates for clients such as the Illinois Tollway, IDOT, and local municipalities and counties
Work with other managers, engineers, and staff to develop budgets, schedules, and project delivery plans
Develop scope and level of effort estimates for project negotiations
Perform regular design reviews with staff
Develop and implement project design workflows to ensure consistent high-quality project delivery
Mentor junior-level staff to expand their capabilities
Qualifications And Skills
10+ years of civil engineering experience with a current Illinois Professional Engineer License
Strong technical leadership skills with a proficient understanding of multiple disciplines and technical standards
Team-oriented, "start-up mentality to proactively provide innovative solutions for projects and internal processes
Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and CAD design software including Microstation, Power Geopak SS4/10
Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
Strong leadership skills with a track record for project scope, budget, and schedule goals.
