Assistant Freelance Designer - Maggy London

About Us: Maggy London, a leading designer and manufacturer in the dress industry, is seeking a talented Assistant Freelance Designer to join our dynamic design team. With six seasonal collections annually, we're looking for a creative and detail-oriented individual to support our innovative design process.

Position Overview: As an Assistant Freelance Designer, you'll work directly with our design team, contributing to day-to-day activities and helping achieve time-sensitive goals. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a passion for fashion design.

Key Responsibilities:

• Attend and document design meetings, updating all design boards, charts, and records
• Manage and update sketches, development progress, and style information in our Airtable database
• Assist in print selection meetings and maintain purchase records
• Create design renderings for Maggy London line and private label projects
• Organize and update seasonal fabric, trim, and style binders
• Maintain color records and update seasonal color cards

Requirements:

• Strong knowledge of fabric, garment construction, and fit
• Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to meet deadlines accurately in a fast-paced environment
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• Fashion design background or related experience preferred
