To support the Senior Vice President of Development by overseeing the PETA Foundation’s fundraising efforts with an emphasis on major gifts, events, and legacy giving programs, ensuring strategic alignment and operational efficiency across these critical fundraising areas.
Primary Responsibilities And Duties
Direct organizational governance efforts, set organizational priorities, develop short- and long-term goals, and evaluate the progress of strategies and campaigns
Supervise senior-level Development Department staff members
Identify new fundraising opportunities, staffing requirements, and strategies to boost net income across the department and the organization
Manage a portfolio of high-net-worth individual PETA donors in collaboration with the director of major gifts and gift planning
Attend PETA donor cultivation and fundraising events
Provide consulting services and advice to the PETA Foundation U.K. and other PETA Foundation entities in the development and execution of fundraising goals and strategies
Exercise sound judgment and confidentiality at all times
Perform other duties as directed by the Senior Vice President
Requirements
Degree in a related field or equivalent experience
Minimum of 10 years of senior-level development experience
Minimum of five years of effective management experience
Five years of experience in strategic planning and implementation
Proven ability to develop and manage professional relationships with high net worth individuals
Proven ability to think strategically and handle numerous projects simultaneously
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent analytical skills and experience
Proven ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
Professional appearance and adherence to a healthy vegan lifestyle
Willingness and ability to travel extensively and attend events in the U.S. and internationally
Ability to lift and carry up to 20 lbs.
Must be at least 21 years of age and have a valid U.S. driver’s license, a minimum of three years of driving experience, and a satisfactory driving record

Commitment to the objectives of the organization
The salary range for this position is $77,600.00 -$96,679.00 annually. The ultimate salary within this range that will be offered to a qualified candidate will be determined based on the candidate’s experience and the cost of living in the area in which the candidate will live and work.
