Deputy Chief Information Officer
Duties
The Deputy Chief Information Officer for Enterprise Infrastructure is a Deputy Assistant Secretary level equivalent position. As such, the DCIO serves as a key member of the Department of State's Chief Information Officer's leadership team and reports to the Principal Deputy Chief Information Officer. Key duties include overseeing a variety of infrastructure services including communication security services, enterprise cloud hosting, hardware supply chain, hosting environment and support, and shared lab services. The incumbent is responsible for the Department's enterprise networks, overseeing the operational sustainment, reliability, and performance of these systems. He/She serves as an advisor to the CIO and PDCIO providing strategic direction and innovative solutions. The incumbent oversees three Regional Diplomatic Technology Centers located in Frankfurt, Germany; Bangkok, Thailand; and Washington, DC which provide technical support and guidance to support DT's global customer base.
The position oversees and provides executive leadership to the offices of Infrastructure Strategy and Finance; Infrastructure Management; Network Technology; and the Regional Diplomatic Technology Centers in Frankfurt, Bangkok, and Washington, DC.

Qualifications

- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
