Location: Chino, CA (Not remote or hybrid)
Mission:
Our client, a producer of premium meat products for its stores, is looking for a Department Head of Meat Production to add to their team.
Successful candidates MUST HAVE experience in a food processing plant environment (and/or other singular qualifier under Competencies/Culture below).
Compensation/Benefits:
Compensation: 180 – 225k, 20% Quarterly Bonus

What you’ll be responsible for:
Train and develop a high-performing team of associates, while promoting positive work environment.
Promote safety and quality standards to ensure a secure and efficient work environment.
Oversee beef, further processing operations, from receiving raw materials to final product packaging.
Monitor production metrics and make data-driven decisions for continuous improvement.
Oversight of beef raw material procurement and vendor relationships.
Partner with internal resources to develop and manage the budget for beef further processing operations in multiple locations.
Control costs, reduce waste, and maximize operational efficiency.
Continuously identify opportunities to increase product quality.
Oversee Maintenance operations team is functioning effectively.
Assist in implementing data driven preventative maintenance procedures to extend the life of machinery.
Competencies/Culture:
Bachelor’s Degree in Agri-Business, Operations Management or related field
10+ Years of production Sr. leadership experience in a meat processing environment
10+ Years of large beef slaughter facility and further processing experience (A MUST)
Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvements
Experience harvesting the beef
Working knowledge of USDA Regulations and Food Safety Standards
Ability to travel 20-30% of the time
