Responsible for providing preventative, restorative and emergency dental services to all patients, from pediatric to geriatric. Dentists are trained to provide care to the unique physical, emotional and developmental needs of patients.
Essential Functions Include But Are Not Limited To
Obtaining accurate and thorough data on each patient through medical histories, study models and radiographs
Examining, evaluating, and treating each patient who comes under care
Providing preventative, therapeutic and restorative dental care
Referring patients when treatment modalities are not available at the health center
Maintaining a sterile, disinfected environment in the delivery of oral care
Educating the patient and parent/guardian in the prevention of dental cavities and other dental conditions
Attending and participating in meetings and trainings of the dental team and/or Organization
Providing input on the performance, technical skills, of the dental auxiliary staff
Maintaining the spirit of teamwork in the effort to provide a caring, respectful environment for the patient, families and health center staff
Adheres to the standards and policies of the Organizational Privacy/Security and Compliance Programs, including the duty to comply with applicable laws and regulations (HIPAA, OSHA, OIG guidelines, other State and Federal laws). This also includes reporting to the Board of Directors, any suspected unethical, fraudulent, or unlawful acts or practices.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience/Skills
Active D.D. S or D.M.D with a current Florida license.
Minimum of two or more years' experience in the dental field.
Excellent computer and typing skills required.
Ability to function as part of a team.
Ability to organize and prioritize.
