Major Responsibilities
Assumes responsibility for implementing discipline procedures for students as stated in the Student Manual and according to the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act and Department of Ed Standards
Assist with all other discipline and school climate needs as deemed applicable
Analyzes school wide data to reduce discipline referrals
Works in conjunction with students, parents, teachers, the psychologist, and educational diagnosticians to develop innovative strategies, preventative approaches, and proactive plans for students who exhibit at-risk behaviors
Acts in a supportive role with the administrative team in working with parents, teachers, and the community to promote the effective flow of communication and ensure positive relationships with all stakeholders
Listens and responds to parent concerns with sensitivity
Conducts parent and student meetings, and promotes good school-parent relationships when discussing specific student problems with parents
Available to work extended hours as applicable
