Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Database Administrator Expert specialized in SQL Server to join our dynamic team. Uses specialized software to store and organize data, which may include capacity planning, installation, configuration, database design, migration, performance monitoring, security, and troubleshooting, as well as backup and data recovery.

Requirements

  • 84 months experience as a SQL Server Database Administrator
  • 2. 84 months experience in designing, installing, and maintaining High Availability and Disaster Recovery Solution on MS-Windows and SQL Server clustered environments.
  • 3. 84 months experience tuning, monitoring, troubleshooting and baselining SQL Server database performance.
  • 4. 84 months experience with SQL Server Transact-SQL(T-SQL)
  • 5. 48 months experience configuring and providing DBA support for databases hosted on Microsoft Azure Database Services
  • 6. 60 months experience designing, installing, and maintaining Microsoft SQL Server SSIS/SSAS/SSRS Services
  • 7. 60 months MS-Windows Server/System Administration experience
  • 8. 60 months Experience supporting Microsoft Dynamics CRM software.
  • 9. 60 months experience in working with scripting tools like PowerShell
  • 10. MCSA (Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist) or above in SQL Server 2012/2014/2016/2019/2022

Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, administer, and manage MS SQL Server databases including high availability and disaster recovery configurations.
  • Assist in Developing and implementing appropriate high availability and disaster recovery solutions.
  • Perform regular backups and ensure recovery solutions are in place and regularly kept updated utilizing approved ITS/MSSQL team approved backup tools.
  • Monitor performance of database servers, listeners and other related processes, optimize performance of databases, tune applications, server resources – CPU, memory, storage, network, etc.
  • Ensure appropriate security protocols in line with ITS guidelines and known best practices are in place, patches are applied on all database environments
  • Perform capacity planning and storage space management.
  • Create and maintain documentation for all major installation and implementation
  • Explore, actively support and work on new technology initiatives, much beyond the database world that may be of interest to the Organization
  • Actively participate and contribute in troubleshooting and alleviating any issues that group may have.
  • Actively take a lead in analyzing SQL database performance issues.
  • Provide production support including off hour support and help application debugging
  • Interact with database vendors for Support and resolution of issues
