We are seeking an innovative and dedicated Database Administrator (DBA) to join our growing team.

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement reliable, scalable, and secure database solutions to meet the evolving needs of the business
• Work closely with software development teams, provide mentorship to junior database professionals, and ensure data models align with application requirements
• Interact with stakeholders and system administration teams to understand challenges, roadmap database infrastructure, and perform capacity planning
• Manage vendor relationships and third-party engagements
• Monitor and tune database performance
• Follow secure-by-design principles and work alongside CISO to implement and maintain a comprehensive data security strategy
• Provide backup mechanisms and disaster recovery planning

Qualifications

• Minimum 8+ years of experience with clustered and highly available relational databases in an engineer and architect capacity
• Minimum 3+ years of providing thought leadership and demonstrating strong problem-solving skills
• Expertise with MySQL databases
• Proficiency in writing complex queries relevant to the database platform(s) in use
• Experience with Clickhouse and timeseries databases such as Prometheus
• Proficiency in at least one programming language such as PHP, Perl, or Python
• Intermediate knowledge of Linux systems administration
• Experience with cloud-based database solutions, DevOps methodologies and automation tools, and developmental experience with PHP and Laravel a plus
